Apeksha Desai, MD
Dr. Desai is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician with a strong focus on senior care and personal health optimization for longevity. She brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a deeply personalized approach to every patient interaction, believing that long-term health begins with trusted, consistent primary care.
Originally trained in India, Dr. Desai completed her medical education before moving to the United States to pursue an Internal Medicine residency in Rochester, New York. Her diverse training background allows her to blend global medical perspectives with evidence-based Western practices, creating a holistic and thoughtful approach to patient care.
In 2022, Dr. Desai founded ACE Primary Care in response to a growing need for higher-quality, patient-centered healthcare in Las Vegas. Given the fragmented nature of primary care in the region, she was inspired to create a practice rooted in accessibility, integrity, and long-term wellness—offering a meaningful alternative to rushed visits and impersonal care.
Raghav Mishra, MD
Dr. Mishra is a skilled primary care physician with a strong focus on preventive care and patient education. He completed his medical school training in India before pursuing his Internal Medicine residency in Rochester, New York. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Mishra brings a wealth of expertise to his practice.
In 2024, Dr. Mishra joined Ace Primary Care, driven by his passion for providing patient-centered care and promoting health education. He believes strongly in the power of prevention to improve health outcomes and enjoys working with his patients to develop personalized plans that promote overall well-being. His philosophy is rooted in empowering patients with the knowledge and tools they need to live healthier lives every day.
Dr. Mishra now calls Las Vegas home, where he lives with his wife and two sons. He is deeply committed to making a positive impact on the health of his community and looks forward to helping his patients achieve their health goals with a focus on prevention and education.
Courtney McDermott, PA-C
Courtney is a dedicated and experienced Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) originally from Hawaii. She joined the Ace Primary Care team in 2025, bringing a wealth of knowledge and passion for patient care.
Courtney’s journey in healthcare began with a deep desire to help others, which led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology on a scholarship from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she graduated summa cum laude. She then proceeded to complete her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2019 from Touro University, Nevada.
Over the years, Courtney has gained valuable hands-on experience in various specialties, including pediatrics, surgery, cardiology, and emergency medicine. These experiences ultimately led her to focus on primary care, where she values building long-term relationships with patients and prioritizing preventive care.
Courtney’s commitment to excellence is reflected in numerous accolades, including her induction into the Pi Alpha National Honor Society of Physician Assistants and recognition on the UNLV Dean’s List. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Golden Key International Honor Society, continually pursuing professional development and lifelong learning.
Outside of her professional life, Courtney prioritizes creating a healthy balance between her career and family. Living in Las Vegas with her husband and son, she is excited about the future and the opportunity to continue growing both personally and professionally, all while making a positive impact on the health and well-being of her patients. In addition to her career, Courtney is a passionate soccer player and team captain, enjoying the camaraderie and discipline that the sport brings to her life.
Jennilyn Chiu, APRN
Jenni is a highly skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with a rich background in both primary and critical care. Originally from the Philippines, she now calls Las Vegas home. In 2024, Jenni joined Ace Primary Care, driven by her passion for providing early treatments and interventions to prevent disease complications. She strongly believes that primary care offers patients the opportunity for proactive care, which can lead to better long-term health outcomes.
Jenni earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Touro University Nevada, specializing as a Family Nurse Practitioner, and holds certifications in FNP-BC from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her nursing journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from the College of Southern Nevada.
With a diverse clinical background, Jenni has worked in critical care in various hospital settings, where she managed complex patients in the Intermediate Care Unit and Critical Care Units.
Throughout her career, Jenni has earned several honors, including multiple Clinical Ladder Level 2 Achievements and the “Caught U ICARE-ing Award.” Jenni holds various certifications, including Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), DEA License, and Progressive Care Nursing Adult Certification. Her dedication to staying current with the latest medical practices ensures she delivers high-quality, individualized care to her patients. With a strong commitment to patient education, Jenni strives to empower those she cares for to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
